Administrative Compensation of Medical Injuries: A Hardy Perennial Blooms Again

This paper outlines the history of administrative compensation proposals in the U.S. over the last 30 years.  It considers parallels from other areas of the law, including worker's compensation, vaccine injuries and automobile injuries, and it concludes that establishing pilot projects, particularly through a voluntary or contractual approach, is likely the best practical way to realize the potential of the administrative compensation model.  » article» more from the JHPPL issue
